Jacobs had 28 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns as he gashed a Broncos defense that looked excellent in the first three weeks. Josh McDaniels needs to go to his star players moreįunny how when Josh McDaniels gives the ball to Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams the Raiders win. The Packers are a very good team, but there's work to do. Right now, Green bay's offense is too inconsistent to be the best in the NFC, especially when it struggles for a half against a bad Patriots team. The defense is making key plays, especially keeping the Packers in the game when the offense sputters. Allen Lazard makes a world of a difference in the passing game and Romeo Doubs is becoming a reliable target. Green Bay will always be in the Super Bowl conversation with Aaron Rodgers, as the Packers are finding ways to win despite their issues at wide receiver. Mayfield completed just 15 of 27 passes for a touchdown and two interceptions when facing four or fewer rushers, a terrible sign for a veteran quarterback.Ĭarolina has to ride with Mayfield, but Matt Rhule will likely hit the panic button. The passing game stinks all around - and Baker Mayfield plays a huge role in that. Wil Lutz hit a 60-yard field goal to tie the game at 25-25, only for the defense to allow six plays for 54 yards in just 27 seconds for the Vikings to take the lead for good. This group almost pulled it off as New Orleans erased a 16-7 deficit to take 22-19 lead in the fourth quarter. That's an average age of 32.5 at four key positions, trusted to lead New Orleans to a win. Andy Dalton, Mark Ingram, Latavius Murray, and Taysom Hill are manning the quarterback and three running back spots with Jameis Winston, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas out. It's hard to be positive about the Saints right now. The Saints were a double-doink away from saving their season These are the best reactions from each game in Week 4, and whether these storylines are overreactions or reality. White the league is still trying to figure out who are the contenders and pretenders, there are plenty of overreactions after a Week 4 that saw crazy finishes and five games decided by three points. The Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks are 2-2, the same record as the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers - two preseason Super Bowl contenders. The Philadelphia Eagles are the lone unbeaten team at 4-0 and the Houston Texans are the only winless team through the first four games. The panic button, as mentioned before, has been smashed. The NFL is still unpredictable through four weeks of the season. This is now their second loss in a row after stringing together a couple of good games.

Matt Nagy can’t call plays at all and there is no help protecting either guy on a consistent basis. It doesn’t matter if Nick Foles or Mitchell Trubisky is under center because this team/offense will stink either way. Now, at 5-3, it is fair to hit the panic button. The same triumphs keep them in games but the same problems present themselves each game without much happening to fix those said problems. They could barely move the football and when Nick Foles did make big passes, nobody was able to hang onto it. Well, they did end up losing because their offense was abysmal. People would have for sure talked about them as the worst 6-2 team even if they won. It felt like another game this season where they were going to squeak out a win despite not deserving it even slightly. The poor performance of this team all around made it a bit scary that they were able to tie it late and get it to overtime. It was embarrassing to watch as big fans of the team. They had some players not able to make plays and some players starting fights with the opponent. In the third quarter, the Bears were had just one of the worst quarters that they have had in the Matt Nagy era. Well, giving up a touchdown to the Saints in the final seconds of the half really was the turning point of the football game. We know that the Bears defense is so good that if their offense gives them just enough, they should win. Until the final drive of the first half, the Bears kept the New Orleans Saints at bay and even scored some points. The game started off as good as it possibly could. The sky isn’t falling (yet) as far as their playoff chances but with the Green Bay Packers losing, they blew a good opportunity. They needed that win to keep pace in the NFC and they blew it. That comeback to force overtime was needed because of how abysmal they were yet again in the third quarter. They forced overtime after making a little bit of a comeback. The Chicago Bears made it seem like they were going to pull off another big comeback/ugly win.

It is time for the Chicago Bears to hit the panic button after losing again. By Vincent Parise 1 year ago Follow Tweet
